Maybe the Happiest Son of a Gun right now

Today, is the morning after the LIV5 concert series. I am kind of already experiencing post-concert depression buut, I'm trying to fight it so it's best if I write this before it devours me wholly. Today, I shall reminisce because that is all I can do and nothing more.

I got to attend three out of four shows and I was voiceless for most of that four days because of all the screaming and the singing. Worth it. I think I got thinner during those four days because I have eaten nothing but air and water (lol, this is an exaggeration, it sound better like that). Fangirling is hard business.

FIRST DAY (February 16)

I was worrying about the first day ever since they announced the venues for the dates. The venue just happens to be Alabang Town Center, the farthest venue ever. Down south just in the border of Metro Manila-beside Cavite and Batangas. What the fuck even. And to top it all of, my class on Mondays/Thursdays ends at four. How was I suppose to get there?

Anyway, I got to ATC with my mom at about 9 or 10. I thought it was going to open at 10 but apparently, ATC opens at 11. Why? We'll never know. Anyway, when I got there, I say Iyah, Ina and Arjuna (Comm 3 classmates that apparently likes the same music genre as I do!). They got a picture with Jonathan Cook. I missed them by about half a minute. Just kill me, please because I'm so goddamn unlucky,

Anyway, we hanged behind the stage for a while, watched their sound check and waited for 11:00. Caleb was the first person I saw. Caleb is the first ever ginger I saw in real life (I think?). I waved at him, he waved back, My god, I just died a little inside. I took a picture of Caleb. I just really wanted to see Kyle Burns, okay? He's one of the loves of my life band people. I love him to pieces. He went out and started drumming and all. I didn't have courage to shout out his name-I was starstruck. Kyle, why are you so beautiful? He saw us (or me, because I'm just being really assuming here) and I waved and fuck the whole world because he smiled and waved back. My heart dropped on the floor. It's a good thing he didn't look for too long because I went bonkers out of kilig. His smile was so nice, I can't even ciaskhfaljsa and his teeth are perfect (loool, I just had to comment on that). Breaks out into the Chip Skylark song called Shiny Teeth and Me. When ATC finally opened, all hell broke loose because people were running and jumping and panicking and being excited and all-yes, including myself. We go tickets, hooray! :))

Me and my mom rode the bus which passes by my school. Worst decision ever. The traffic was unbelievably heavy and theeen, to add to my luck, it started raining. Really really hard. If you know me, you probably know why his is bad. I don't bring an umbrella, everyday, forever and always. I don't like my bag heavy. Anywaaay, y'all can guess what happens next. Yep, that's it. I got drenched in rain water. Me and my mom had to go to Robinsons to buy the first clothes we see because we were really fucking soaked.

Got to school, watched some lame ass boring movie. Oh, here's the best part: our professor, who always always checks the attendance decided not to-on the day when I only had one class and on the day that I had to go back to school soaked in rain water when I could be in ATC, dry and safe and not tired. Fuck.

Me and my sister, were late for the show. I blame you Professor. When we got there, it was already The Ready Set playing so yeah. I don't even like The Ready Set that much. I mean they're okay, but I'm not really into them/him. But whooaaah, a lot of people are, definitely.

I wasn't happy with our area. Gaaah. Only half of the VIP area and half of the A-card and VIPinoy area were occupied. They could have let us in. Gaaaaah. :(( Anyway, after The Ready Set, A Rocket to the Moon came out and sdhfilksajf I just sang my heart out okay? ARTTM is one of those bands who writes music beautifully, especially lyrically. I always love how they string together beautiful words and how they play with it. Gaaaah. Awesome, awesome writers! We were just sooo far away. But that didn't really stop us (or me) from partying. I screamed out every word of every song they sang. It was magical.

The people beside us were ARTTM fans as well so it was so fun! Plus, they played my favorites off their album-She's Killing Me would be the first off that list. I love that song! My goodness :)) Anyway, they also played crowd favorites like Mr. Right, Baby Blue Eyes and Dakota. Also part of the setlist were On Your Side, Give A Damn and If Only They Knew I do think that is the whole setlist excluding the new song they played. Hihihi. The crowd sang the loudest with the said crowd favorites and oh my gosh, Baby Blue Eyes was just beautiful, okay :')

When A Rocket to the Moon ended, it was time for Forever the Sickest Kids. And oh my god, can I just fucking say that I was so fucking excited? dkfhjsdkljfs I CAN'T EVEN, ohmygod. The timing was just perfect because I was just rekindling my obsession with this particular band. Hahahaha. But I've been listening to them for about 3 years already and yeah.

WHEN THEY CAME ONSTAGE, I WAS FLAPPING MY ARMS EVERYWHERE AND I WAS JUMPING LIKE A MADMAN. Which is more funny due to the fact that people in the non-VIP area were so quiet when FTSK came onstage. They were like "kroo-kroo" :)) I didn't care really. I don't remember what song they played first. What I do remember is that after the 1st or 2nd song, Jonathan said "If there's anyway you guys can come over here closer, please do" and the wildness began.

Everyone was jumping barricades and the guards/bouncers started to panic. But they really couldn't do anything. Fans were jumping left and right. I helped my sister jumped through the barricade and I threw her my bag and told her to run for it. The guard was already nearing our side and I thought I wasn't going to make it through the first barricade. I MADE IT! PUTA, and the barricade was so fucking tall-it was up to my chest area. Anyway, there was still a second barricade which me and my sister successfully crossed as well.
That right there was an amazing moment. Everyone was at the VIP area by the time of the 2nd/3rd song. Jonathan said he liked it because all of us are so close now. Hahaha. I really felt like barfing. I ran so fast because adrenaline took over the best of me-thank God and I haven't eaten anything and all. So I felt a little dizzy and I wanted to throw up but that didn't really stop me from rocking it out. Me and my sister climbed on a chair where a photographer was standing as well, and we were probably so rowdy that he decided to go away. Hahaha. I found that highly amusing.

Anyway, FTSK played some of my favorites and their setlist was just fucking quality ok? :)) They have the best setlist ever! My favorites were Crossroads, She Likes, Robots & Aliens, Whoa Oh and of course, She's A Lady. They also played Keep On Bringing Me Down, Shut the Front Door, Hip Hp Chick and Catastophe. The crowd was loud, I liked, no, loved it.

During Crossroads, Jonathan Cook pointed at me because I was doing his dance. Hahaha. The arm thing dance, and I was so happy because, well, he noticed how into it I was. I was seriously like a jumping maniac because I was rocking it out and all. FTSK has the best rock out, party dance music. Hell yeah! Aaaand, I finally got to see Kyle Burns performing! hihihi. He was just so into it. So coool. @.@ I love him. Hahaha

Jonathan made like comments on how beautiful it is, and how awesome the country was and all that. He said that our energy and love for music was amazing-saying that there were no hierarchies in the band because we gave the same amount of energy to all of them. He said he feels like it was all just like one big party with family and friends and it didn't feel like just performing onstage at all. I, being the feeler than I always am, was flattered throughout the whole time. Hahhaha. Filipino crowds are the best, yo.

SECOND DAY (February 17)

The second day was at Glorietta and not much happened because we were outside, at the side of the stage. I met up with some of my schoolmates, mentioned above. And we ended up there, at the side of the stage. It's okay though because it was so near the stage. The problem was that you couldn't rock out much because most people there were just passersby who just wanted to see what the fuss was all about. So, yeah.

My sister got in the pit by the way! Hahhaa, lucky bitch. loljk, I love her. Someone who had an extra ticket-a parent actually, probably thought she was pitiful :)) She gave her the extra ticket and I told her to go on and take it. Hahaha. So I was stuck there, alone ;__; huhuhu. So pitiful.

The only significant thing that happened really is seeing The Summer Set perform. Whooaaahh, they were awesome. I am so glad that I saw them perform and all. Jess was just flawless. She's the reason my want of becoming a drummer despite being a girl strengthened. Hahaha. She's just so badass and all. They played a lot of songs from the new album too. Unfortunately, I didn't like their setlist that miuch. It was okay though. They played Chelsea, Punch-Drunk Love, Someone Like You, etc. I would have loved to hear Where Are You Now? but yeah :))

PLUS: J.Cook looked and pointed at me again even if I was just in the sides. Hihihi. Love J.Cook forever. :) Again, it's so embarrassing to remember because I was rocking out and I probably looked terrible and out of it and wasted. Ugh. Hahahaa. At least J.Cook loves me :)))

FOURTH DAY (February 19)

Yes, I skipped the third day which was in Trinoma because we didn't go.

Anyway, I scavenged all night and all day to get tickets for me and my sister, and I got tickets! Woo-hooo! :)) This means we get to barricade! And it's M!M! again, just like in LIV3. Hihihi. I am so happy all my hard work paid off. :> Anyway, we got there early because we had to meet up with three people who were giving us tickets and all. PLUS: I finally got to meet Ram! She's someone I met online and coincidentally is my schoolmate from UP Manila but we never see each other in school since she's in a different building than I am.

Sooo, when we got inside, we were just really fangirling inside. My goodness. Ram was so ecstatic about the fact that we were so near. And we were! Ram liked Kyle too so we spent most of the time jokingly arguing about Kyle. Plus, we took pictures because it's our first time to see each other and I was excited of how close we were onstage.

When A+ Dropouts came onstage, everyone ran to the barricades. THANKFULLY AND I MEAN THANKFULLY, we got hold of the barricades. We have awesome awesome fangirling skills you guys. :)) If only this could be a day job. lol. SO, I really didn't care much about the A+ because I didn't know them but they were okay. They were all probably younger than me and all but the boys in this band were foooinee. :))) I held up a sign that says Bianca Loves You and Cheska noticed it and said I love you too Bianca. leelzz.

Nothing to say about The Summer Set. Le sigh. My sister got a pick from the guy in The Ready Set. Awesome balls. And then A Rocket to the Moon came onstage. Woo-hooo! NIck made us sing a lot of parts of Baby Blue Eyes. He said he loved the way our united voice sounded. Hihihi. And true enough, everything was beautiful :') He also winked at me during Give A Damn. Awww, Nick. Stop it you :"> I didn't actually feel a lot giddy because it was an obligatory wink. He always winks during a line in Give A Damn so it just so happened that his gaze landed on me, so yeah. :|| :))) Anyway, my sister was holding up this sign and Halvo noticed her a lot and smiled at her. Yiheee, kilig-pwet :)) ARTTM ws flattering us and all, saying they don't ever wanna leave the country. And they were asking us if we would watch them again if ever they will have a show in the PH again, and of course everyone responded with a big YEEEAAAAHHH. Hahaha.

Forever the Sickest Kids came onstage again and whooaaahh. Still so much energy and party spirit. It never changes! Plus, they were all really hyper. I'd say FTSK is one of the most hyper bands I've seen. They really can't stop moving around so much! I think J.Cook knows me already because he kept looking at me again, while I was rocking out and all. He would laugh-that bastard :)) Anyway, Rico threw my sister two picks but we didn't get them since the first one didn't reach the audience, and the other one got lost-magically. :((

Anyway, I think they were completely at awe with the crowd in M!M! because they had these faces of awe, you know. Especially during "She Likes" though because the crowd just screamed it out and we may have sang it louder than the speakers and amps and all. The boys were all like "Did you expect this?" "That is awesome" and blah :)) Flattered fangirl is flattered.

So, then the most kilig part of the show was when I was holding up this sign because I am an attention-whore and I wanted Kyle's attention and Austin noticed the sign and approached Kyle and I think he told Kyle about my sign because Kyle looked in my direction, smiled and nodded. Ohmyfreakingosh. Just hold me because I'm dead. Kyle, Y U SO ADORBZZ? :))

Anyway, FTSK was flattering us too much too. They said they loved the Philippines and Manila is probably their favorite city and all that plus it may have been one of their best shows to date. I love FTSK, they never fail to flatter me and of course, the whole fangirl/fanboy society in Manila. They said they don't want to leave and that if they stay they'd have to play shows everyday and they asked us if that would be ok. And of course, the whole crowd responded with a big YEEEAAAAHHH.

Their tweets are the best though. I'm really lazy to put it up right now but I will when I find the time, guys :)) Hahahaha.

LIV5 was awesome sauce. No voice. Sore body. Didn't study for anything so I might fail something. ALL FUCKING WORTH IT.
